Mountain Words

These men like mountains
I’m jumping off and dying at the base of them
Broken open hoping as I ache for them
A doll shattered scattered across the wake of them
Skin tender at the seams where my bones break clean
Through to join the places placed in front of me
Hips splayed legs stray apart far away from each other
Under the pressure of being greeted by needs that need kneading
Eyes encounter Eden greedy seeing for moments
Before I fall, the scope of walls of blue blanketing my view
Take in clouds careful in my gentle palms
Drink in the air as I fall, graceful, calm
On on on, down to end life
Where it begins in him, spring from this
Waterfalls meet fall, getting wetter, treading water,
Foam churned, as rocks spurn waves
Covered coated soaking for days in the heady fragrance
Flavor of sea salts stalled on my tongue leaving thirst in it’s place
Take full long drinks of him, even eyes closed know his face
Teach my lungs the strength to bare the pressure at this elevation
Speech a hum at the length of my avid exploration
Tears sting eyes as I attempt to walk on limbs weary
Weakened by him, seated I surmise that I am due to succumb, undone
By the frantic anguish consequence of foolish love, I jumped
With eyes closed, clothes no longer necessary
On the other side, eyes look to be very cold, but no, actions often are incendiary,
And he heats the ground beneath my feet
I keep my teeth firmly fixed into my bottom lip
And breathe shallow breathes against the rocky planes of chests
Please let me be next, dropped into the burning bliss
Of secret volcanic grips
Building it from deep within
We sing songs from the cores to eager brims
And I sacrifice another life in spite of warnings, warming
Now to dangerous degrees, we meet, we speak words laced with heat
Eruptions end voices, now replete with gravel, grit, and smoke
We go we go we go
Back into the glow of open skies
Me, the night, heaven and men; the mountains where I choose to die
