Explore Words
Take your time with me
Be patient in your discovery
Meet me
Open mouthed
With awe always present in the pressing
Of your lips to gently curving hips and linger longer
Than I think you should
And tell me that you can't help
That I taste so good
Take it slow, savor every second
Spent bent across the surface of my skin
Soft supple subtle hints of things
Like warm brown sugar laced with cinnamon
Slow now in the hollow places hallowed
By the graceful prayer of your patient tongue
I live, I cry, I come alive and lie undone
By your hands alone, no, don't
Rush along, sink low into this river
Know the currents so familiar on your skin
As you slide deep deep and deeper in
Settle yourself along the banks of bated breaths
And carefully count the seconds till I’m left
Bereft on all accounts of oxygen from lungs
That empty out with cries from prying tongues
Take your time with me find me firmly in your grasp
Own each and every second that time has passed
Into your ever waiting hands
Explore these lithe and lush accommodating lands
Of me, make maps that take the last few nights
And draw you signs of where to find the sighs
That you’ve drawn out
Map the stars against my spine and line by line
Design a picture, perfect against the soft pink of my mouth
Drown, long in me, swim me, collect the wet in palms
And sing me songs to settle nerves into a humble calm
Know me, and by the grace of all the waves that break against my waist
Show me everything that I in turn must wait
With ever needed patience to yet taste at your alter, at your base
At the center of everything you are, brush my lips with sips of this
The sweetest semblances of simultaneous silk and hard
Hot edges pressed in to the hungry places aching to be felt,
Well melted and redone anew, and trust in truth
Give me time, and I’ll endeavor to explore every single inch of you
